LOEL group’s celebrity model has changed from Oska to Dok Go Jin. The two parties have a meeting.
JU WON: After having Oska represent us for 5 years, it’s time to have a new face, so according to our surveys, Dok Go Jin best matches our name value, and with your glamorous career and award history, we have decided to choose you as our CF model. After you sign this contract, you will represent our LOEL Department Store, LOEL Duty-free, LOEL Hotel, LOEL Mart, LOEL Resorts and all other LOEL Group’s subsidiaries. What’s more, I discovered that you’re actually a VVIP customer of LOEL department store. ^^
REPRESENTATIVE MOON: Well, our Dok Go Jin is never an extravagant person, but because Gu Ae Jung sshi just had her second child, they moved. While furnishing their new house which was not sponsored, they bought everything from LOEL department store, that’s how he ended up as a VVIP. Of course, I hope this is only known among the few of us. Although Dok Go Jin has an image of luxury, it wouldn’t be good if people hears of him spending so much money till he qualifies to become a VVIP of a famous department store. Within the contract, there’s a condition stating that as a CF model, he has to attend the VVIP party. Instead of that, we request that Dok Go just gives an appearance as a model, without having to attend the whole party.
JU WON: Whatever, it doesn’t really matter. The signing of the contract is most important to me. Oh, and if you insist that being known as a VVIP is not good for you, I would appreciate if you’ll add a condition of a 10% reduction to your fees, best with your lips shut.
DOK GO: What kind of nonsense is that…
JU WON: (interrupting Dok Go) Even after the 10% reduction, the contract is still worth more than 1 billion (won). Over the 3 years as our model, you will reap much benefits, and I doubt there will be any loss for you. Look at Oska, even with the flop of his 7th album, because he was our department store model, he retained his place in the industry and has now the name-value of a Hallyu star, was there any loss for him? Of course not.
REP. MOON: Even with the 10% reduction, since the contract lasts 3 years, that will be fine. Ah, Dok Go, have you talked to Director Gil Ra Im?
DOK GO: Why the sudden mention of Director Gil here?!
REP. MOON: Dok Go, I guess you don’t know about this. Director Gil is CEO Kim Ju Won’s wife. Ah, CEO Kim, you should have heard about our Dok Go filming his Hollywood action film as a superhero, haven’t you? Director Gil shall be going to Hollywood as well, as she was chosen as the action director. However, if Dok Go decides to practise his action scenes in Korea, then Director Gil will stay in Korea, but if Dok Go practises his action after he goes to the US, Director Gil has to go there. Anyway, we’re talking about the contract now.. Dok Go, what are you going to do about this?
DOK GO: Of course! I’ll practise in the US! The film is going to be shot in the US, if I practise in Korea, it may not synchronise, then I may just end up standing there and confused in the US set. Besides the scenes that have to be shot in Korea, E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G else will be filmed in the US. It has been Gu Ae Jung’s wish to tour the US too. Of course I have to grant my wife’s wishes.
JU WON: H-Hold on! You are bringing Gil Ra Im all the way to the US?
DOK GO: DING DONG! Because that’s part of my job. Director Gil’s a pro(fessional), I’m a pro too. CEO Kim, you will have to face a lonely bedroom all by yourself for some time, I extend my due sympathy but it can’t be helped. It could have been possible to practise in Korea, but it’s not as if we will film the scenes immediately when I reach the US, so of course the action director must come with us. I guess it will take about 6 months, the US filming. Don’t worry, I will definitely finish filming all your CFs before I go.
JU WON: Okay, so if there’s no 10% reduction in your contract, will you graciously let Gil Ra Im stay here and leave by yourself?
DOK GO: Well, you were the one who first suggested the reduction, so if you say it’s void, it is. How about having a 10% increase? If rumors of the great LOEL Group being hesitant about 100~200 million won of fees for a model, it wouldn’t be good, would it?
JU WON: Dok Go Jin sshi… what different sides you have. I thought you were a gentleman.
DOK GO: An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, a blade for a blade, A REVENGE FOR A REVENGE. That is my motto.
With an arrogant shrug, Dok Go relaxes into his chair, as representative Moon casts him a you-did-well glance. Ju Won in disbelief.
After signing a satisfactory contract, Dok Go and representative Moon leave. Ju Won calls Gil Ra Im.
This woman! If you’re going to film an action hero movie, you should have told me! What? You were going to? Then how about being the action director for Dok Go Jin, why didn’t you say that!! How would I know?! I just met Dok Go Jin, of course I would know! What? He’s polite to inform me about it? What manners does Dok Go Jin have!! I’m a CEO who looks at the company earnings month by month, every single expenditure is precious to me, so I exerted my utmost. Anyway Gil Ra Im. I have negotiated with him, so no matter what he says to you, you must stay in Korea unconditionally. Don’t mention the US, not even the letter ‘U’. AND! From now on, before you decide on whatever you’re going to do, report to me first!
As the world continues revolving around…
